Realignment of the sales and marketing organisation at BorsodChem

As of January 31st, 2011, Wanhua Industrial Group Co. Ltd., became the sole owner of BorsodChem Zrt. and currently the full integration efforts are progressing well on track. As part of the global integration effort, effective immediately, BorsodChem will consolidate its sales and marketing divisions of the Polyurethanes and PVC/ Chloralkali business. This integration effort will be led by Eugene Wu from Wanhua Industrial Group, previously President of Asia Pacific for Greif, Inc.

With this change, Wanhua-owned BorsodChem will be able to realign its global resources to serve its customers in a more focused and stronger way with enhanced services than it was possible before. In the near future, Wanhua-owned BorsodChem is aiming to make significant improvements in product quality and customer service along with its capacity increase of TDI and MDI production, to demonstrate the solid market leadership as one of the world’s largest isocyanate suppliers.

Rik de Vos, former head of the Business Management Polyurethanes and Vladimir Karkoska, the former head of the Business Unit PVC will pursue other career opportunities.  “I would like to express gratitude to Mr. Rik de Vos and Mr. Vladimir Karkoska for their contributions in the past, and especially during the financial restructuring.  We are confident that Wanhua and BorsodChem’s global integration effort will bring us greater success in the future” said Dr. Wolfgang B├╝chele, CEO of BorsodChem.
